Drama

Orientation:

  • These activities and games will prepare students with basic attitudes, behaviours and knowledge needed for successful performances. Basic improvisational, mime, movement, voice and technical details will be introduced.

Projects:

  • Students will develop and perform various projects based on the curriculum strand being studied. These projects will allow students to get creative. The types of projects will be determined based on students’ interests.
  • A final project will be assigned by your teacher. This decision will be made by the drama teacher taking into consideration interests and attitudes of students .
  • A final exam may be written if key concepts are not demonstrated during classroom activities and performances.

Evaluation:

  • Positive attitude and daily participation 30%.
  • Peer Evaluation 10%.
  • Assignments throughout the term (4X10%) 40%.
  • Final Project 20%.

Bonus marks of up to 5% will be awarded for participation in the Performers Club and/or Showcase Drama Presentations.
